A Public Service Announcement: Airport Security

If you are flying from next week, let me remind you that things have gone a bit more absurd since the liquid bombers tried to bomb airplanes that they even didn't try to bomb with liquids anyway.

Download sticker for your transparent and re-sealable plastic bag. Sticker in A4 format for normal black and white printers.

What is this all about:

From Finnair

"The new EU regulation on liquids allowed in carry-on baggage will come into effect on November 6, 2006. From that date, all liquid substances to be brought into the cabin must be shown at security control...

Each passenger may carry a limited amount of liquids as carry-on baggage, provided that
- the liquids are packed in containers of not more than 100 ml
- all the containers fit into one plastic bag of a maximum size of 1 litre. The bag must be transparent and re-sealable (zip-lock, top-lock, mini-grip)
- each passenger may have only one plastic bag including liquids (also infants may have one bag)
- the plastic bag must be presented separately at the security control."
