Sveriges Television

Hello everybody,

Being back in Helsinki, having had time for myself I have naturally just sat on the sofa watching TV. Now coming out from the Easter holidays I must say that the difference between the quality of media, especially television, in Japan/Korea and Finland/Sweden is very big.

Other than this, I miss sushi and discussions with my Production Floorists in Asia.

I don't know.

Medias are very different between Finland & Japan...also between Finland & Sweden we can sometimes see big differences. I guess... The Japanese television has rarely any import shows of any kind (except movie showings) and in general has a very large of shows based on media stars and not so much content.

While NHK is a very good media company and produces I guess good quality shows (they also export their shows) but what I thought lacked were SVT shows like: Faktum, Filmkrönikan, Musikbyrån, Kobra and people like Fredrik Lindström. The category "Culture and Entertainment" is a whole different concept in Japanese media I guess than in the Swedish media.

Maybe, the viewers in Japan are not taken that seriously...

No?

Yes I know that NHK has many good shows.
But people, especially the young, don't have much interest in that.
Maybe it is because they don't be needed.
Recently, I feel in Japan that we come to be cluster-ized by our own interest.

But I think everyone have to know about not only liking but also ourselves, Japan and the World.

I don't know where we go now, but i think usually the big movement happen from the government.
but.. sometimes it is too late.
And I also don't know what and how I should do about that.
